“Honey, I’m home, look what I brought you!” I heard Kyle yell excitedly from our entryway on Monday evening.
Thinking that he had brought some treat like ice cream, I raced to the door. I then found myself looking a dead caribou straight in the eye.
“Woah!” I said astounded, “Uh, there’s a whole animal right there…”
“Well, what did you expect?” Kyle smartly retorted as he laughed.
After a moment of collecting myself I realized I could respond better and said, “Wow, that’s amazing, I’m so proud of you, good work!
I must admit, I was fairly shocked as Kyle pulled this large, dead, bloody animal into the house. It wasn’t until we butchered it that my shock wore off. As we butchered it, I began to see how this “whole animal” could turn into delicious dinners. Many, many, many dinners! Our freezer is now stocked for the winter. Yum!
Kyle = Real Man 🙂
Congratulations! I can’t believe it!!!
Thank you for taking time to post the picture [and the story too] 🙂
PS: Happy thanksgiving
