Oh dear, I never should have borrowed the movie Julie & Julia from Corinne’s video store….
Now, uh oh, what have I gotten myself into?
I was inspired by the protagonist in Julie & Julia, and at the end of the movie I told Kyle, “Ooh, I should have a project like she did. Something other than work that I can focus on, a goal I can achieve.”
Although the movie made me want to run to my new copy of Mastering the Art of French Cooking (a fantastic Christmas gift from Kyle) and start whipping things up, I restrained myself and took time to think about a fitting project. Over the break I have been immersed in scrapbooking, finally catching up on creating albums from our summer trip! In a search for more scrapbooking stickers, I stumbled across scrapbooking blogs and read about various scrapbookers undertaking “Project 365.” The name pretty much explains it all. I will be taking a picture each day, doing a little bit of journaling, and compiling this all into a beautiful scrapbook as the year goes on. If I am diligent, pictures will go up here throughout the year as well.
Wish me luck!
Today’s picture: out for a sunset walk with Thunder. Sunset today was at 3:47pm.
I am sure you are more diligent than I am – I never went beyond day #4. May be it was due to the fact that I started in the middle of the year instead of using the power of new year, but it’s a good thought & good project.
Would love to see the scrapbook that comes out of it 🙂
Kyle undertook “365” while at MTU and we so enjoyed his daily postings. I hope you have fun with your new adventure and I can’t wait to see the scrapbook that comes
from it. 🙂
